Maymyindia: This desi Google Maps rival is number one on iPhone’s app store – Times of India

MapmyIndia has revealed that its Mappls MapmyIndia app has become the number one app across all categories (free apps) on the Apple iOS App Store, besides being the number app App in the Navigation category. Additionally, Mappls App is also the number one app in the Maps & Navigation category on the Android Google Play Store.

What the Mappls app offer
The Mappls app offers a range of distinctive features, setting it apart from foreign default map applications. Users across India benefit from its unique offerings, including 3D Junction Views, Road Speed Limit Alerts, Trip Toll & Fuel Cost Estimates, as well as Safety Alerts for upcoming Speed Breakers, Sharp Curves, Potholes, and more. These features provide immense help and support to users and are not commonly found in other map apps. Mappls App works on Android, iOS & Web (on mappls.com) and even Android Auto and CarPlay in the car.

Last year, MapmyIndia rolled out a road safety feature called Junction View within navigation in the free Mappls app. The Mappls App’s Junction View feature provides a 3D representation of intersections, complete with clearly marked lanes. When navigating, users can see the exit or entry points of flyovers in a photo-realistic format. Additionally, if the next junction is available, a preview of it is also displayed. To close the displayed intersection during navigation, users can simply tap on the junction view arrow mark. This feature enhances the navigation experience and helps users make more informed decisions while on the road.
