MG partners with Jio to provide Hinglish voice assistant on MG Comet EV

The partnership will yield access to Reliance Jio Platforms for MG Comet EV owners. This will allow users to utilise Reliance Jio’s India’s first Hinglish Voice Assistant system which has been integrated into Music Apps, payment apps, connectivity platforms, and hardware. This feature works in tandem with Hello Jio Voice Assistant which understands dialects and accents from different corners of India. 

The assistant can be used to operate vehicle controls such as turning the AC on or off. Additional features also include access to internet-based information such as Cricket, Weather, News, Horoscope, etc via the Hello Jio assistant app.

The current trend focuses increasingly on software-driven devices and our current partnership with a tech innovator like Jio in the Smart Mobility space is a step towards establishing MG Motor as a tech leader in the automobile industry. The MGI-Jio partnership will ensure our newly launched MG Comet EV enriches the driving experience for GenZ customers while ensuring safety and In-Car experiences backed by great technology,” said Mr Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India on this new partnership with Reliance Jio. 

MG Motors recently launched the MG Comet EV city electric car in India recently which boasts a very compact footprint and unique tall-boy design. It gets up to 230km of range on a single charge and is available in five colours and multiple customisation options. The EV features dual 10.25-inch screens, steering-mounted controls, parking sensors and cameras and premium-looking light-coloured interiors. It competes with the likes of the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3 and starts at Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
