Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Studio has received the latest firmware update that adds a significant display feature to the device. The laptop from Microsoft will now support the Dynamic Refresh Rate feature that will allow users to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz depending on the content they’re viewing. The laptop’s display will now be able to drop down the refresh rate to 60Hz to increase battery life or can bump it up to 120Hz to offer a smoother experience.

This feature was made available to Windows Insiders for testing for about a month and now it is being rolled out to all users. According to a report by WindowsCentral, the screen of Surface Laptop Studio was able to switch between refresh rates depending on the content that was being displayed.
As Surface updates are rolled out in stages, some users may have to wait for some time to receive the latest one. Users can also search for it through the Windows 11 Settings app to check if it is available on their device. Users can update their laptops manually and Microsoft even has a guide about how to do it on its website. However, it is important to note that once the firmware updates are installed they cannot be uninstalled or reverted to an earlier version.
