Mid-South Runners Compete at NAIA Men’s Cross Country Championships

Vancouver, WA. – Campbellsville (Ky.), Shawnee State (Ohio) and six other MSC qualifiers competed at the NAIA Men’s Cross Country Championships in Vancouver, Washington.

Shawnee State placed 19th with 447 points. Aiden Kammler earned All-American honors finishing in 31st with a time of 25:48.7. Jonah Phillips finished in 26:13.2 to place 56th while Hunter Hoover placed 87th with a time of 26:39.7. Thryceton Deckard placed 154th for the Bears, Jacob Nichols finished 215th, Alex Morris and Aiden Judd round out the Bears who competed finishing in 233rd and 234th, respectively.

Campbellsville placed 28th with 768 points and was lead by Sam Kiser who finished 68th with a time of 26:24.5. Shawn Little placed 200th, Collins Sheffield was 218th, Dakota Brady finished 20th and Jarrett Crawford place 261st. Lukas Smithson and Ian McAninch placed 286th and 314th respectively.

Six more individuals from the MSC qualified for the race based on their finish at the Mid-South Championship. Life’s (Ga.) Zac Wright-Fisher finished with a time of 26:37.8 to place 85th.  Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Kyle Woodward finished 129th, Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Levi Owens placed 159th and Life’s Christian Colon finished 185th. Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Denis Kiplagat finished 196th while Bethel’s Anthony Garza finished in 313th place.

Milligan (Tenn.) won the national championship with a score of 115. Oklahoma City’s Zouhair Talbi won the individual national championship.
