Mind-Boggling Fan Theory Suggests How Moon Knight Could Set Up Thor: Love and Thunder

Marvel Studios recently released the first trailer for the long-awaited movie as part of the Thor franchise in Thor: Love and Thunder.

While the teaser trailer featured the likes of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor and Russell Crowe’s Zeus, it did however had a major omission in the upcoming movie’s villain, Gorr the God Butcher.

The God slaying antagonist will be played by former Dark Knight Christian Bale, who makes his Marvel debut, and while many fans questioned why the character was missing from the teaser trailer, one Redditor seems to have found the answer, and it involves Marvel’s ongoing Disney+ TV show, Moon Knight.

Moon Knight revolves around Oscar Isaac’s characters in Marc Spector and Steven Grant, who work as the avatars of the Egyptian deity, Khonshu. The six episode run of the show explores a lore yet to be explored in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Egyptian mythology, and the first four episodes of the show delves deep into Khonshu and his relationships with the other Egyptian Gods.

But, how is Gorr the God Butcher linked to Moon Knight? Well, according to Redditor u/krxzy_wxrlxck, the answer revolves around the fact that Gorr is a God slaying monster, and while the Egyptian deities are quite powerful, it’s very likely that the show will introduce MCU fans to the character, as he mutilates the beings that hold a ton of power.

In his Reddit post, the Redditor mentioned that Gorr the God Butcher might arrive in a post-credits scene at the end of Episode 6, after Marc and Steven potentially wrap up their beef with Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow. With Gorr destroying the powerful Egyptian deities, fans will understand the menace that Thor and Mighty Thor will have at their hands, when he finally shows up to take them on in Thor: Love and Thunder, and it sure seems like it would be a battle to the death.
