Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 Co-Star Details Tom Cruise’s Preparedness For Stunts

Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 is all set to hit the theatres on July 12 and the anticipations are at an all time high thanks to all the rave reviews the movie has received ahead of release. When it comes to Mission Impossible movies, there is one thing that fans can always bank on for Tom Cruise to deliver: hardcore stunts. However, many do not know how the actor approaches these deadly stunts. Fortunately, MI7 co-star, Hayley Atwell has shed some light on the situation.

Hayley Atwell on Tom Cruise stunt scenes

In an interview with RadioTimes, Atwell revealed how Tom Cruise is always prepared for the impossible. Atwell stated that the thing that surprises her the most is “how he wears it all”. Atwell then explains how once her and the crew had showed up for dinner at Tom Cruise’s houses and what happened while they were discussing the film.

When Tom was asked how his day was, he went on to say that it was “very nice actually” and he had a “lovely time” while performing “like 29 skydives” that day. Atwell was shocked with the “ease” that Tom Cruise said that and he looked like a man who has “had a lovely day at the beach” after performing almost 30 rigorous skydives.

Atwell goes on to state that Tom Cruise looks very “relaxed” and comfortable in his own skin because he is so “disciplined” and knows what he needs to do to successfully perform these stunts. She concludes stating that Cruise has a “real understanding of how to relax and be fearless” and the thing she finds most inspiring “is the lightness with which he wears it all”. Even after 7 movies, Tom Cruise never seizes to amaze.
