Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1: Hayley Atwell Talks about Stunts with Tom Cruise

When you think about the upcoming Mission: Impossible movie, the only word that comes to your mind nowadays is stunts. We already know that this movie will feature Tom Cruise’s most craziest feats yet, but what about the other cast members? How do they feel about this stunt hungry movie and the acts they need to perform? Fortunately, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 star has shed some light on the subject.

This information comes to us from Agent Carter star, Hayley Atwell, who will be playing the role of Grace in the upcoming movie. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Atwell reveal how it feels to be performing stunts alongside Tom Cruise. Atwell stated, “He’s an athlete, he is a stuntman, and he’s one of the best in the world”.

Atwell added that Cruise is aware about all aspects, whether they are technical or physical, which helps pull off stunts in a smooth but dynamic manner. The use of “multiple takes, different lenses, different angles, and different levels of performance” is also helpful. Cruise has also told Atwell, “I want to be fearless in this way. I can only be fearless if I really know what I’m doing technically and physically and am really good at it.” This makes her trust him implicitly as she knows he trusts himself.

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 2 Does Not Have a Conclusion Yet

On the topic of Dead Reckoning, director Christopher McQuarrie has just revealed that the two-parter does not have a conclusion yet. McQuarrie revealed through an interview with Collider that he doesn’t know the ending of Part Two and he is not being evasive. He could tell people the end but can’t guarantee it will remain the same when they reach that point. He added that he and Tom, “never obsess about executing the plan”.
