Mohamed Salah ‘wants a change’ despite Jurgen Klopp demanding FSG agree Liverpool contract
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could snub a new contract at Anfield to pursue a move to La Liga, according to reports in Spain. Salah’s current deal expires in 2023, which could prompt the Reds to cash in on him at the end of the season if he desires a fresh challenge.
Over the past couple of months, Liverpool have extended a contingent of key players’ contracts.
Andy Robertson was the latest to commit his long-term future to the club, following Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho.
Salah, arguably the face of Jurgen Klopp’s history-making team, is yet to sign on the dotted line, though, with concerns over his status growing.
If recent reports from Spain are anything to go by, the Egyptian King could soon look to grace his third of Europe’s big five leagues.

The electric No 11 has been critical to Liverpool’s period of success in recent years, and Klopp will consider him irreplaceable.
FSG should welcome his demand for the club to press forward with contract talks because they won’t want to lose such an asset for free in 2023.
Salah has the making of a player conditioned like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, meaning he could have several years left at the top level.
After winning the two biggest honours possible at Liverpool, he may feel like 2023 should start a new chapter in his meteoric career.
