The Motorola Edge 20 series has been in the news recently. It is expected to succeed the Motorola Edge lineup that was unveiled last year. Various reports suggest that the Motorola Edge 20 series will launch on August 5th. According to the leaks and rumours that we have so far, the upcoming lineup of smartphones is expected to have three devices, the Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, and the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Well, according to a new leak, Motorola will be launching another phone in the series, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. Let us have a look at all the details.

Motorola Edge 20 Fusion in the works

According to a new report from DealNTech, Motorola is working on a fourth smartphone in the Edge 20 lineup, called, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. The publication claims that it has spotted marketing material of the Motorola Edge 20 series and that it mentions the name of the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion along with that of the three other smartphones in the lineup. 

DealNTech also says that according to the marketing material that they have come across, the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion share the same names for their colour variants. Based on this, the publication predicts that the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion are the same smartphones but are renamed for different markets.

Unfortunately, DealNTech doesn’t say anything about the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion specifications. Well, considering that the launch is only a week away, we don’t have to wait for too long to know what the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion has to offer. Moreover, we do know a few key specifications of the Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, and the Motorola Edge 20 Lite.

Motorola Edge 20 series specifications

According to the leaks and rumours that we have so far, the range-topping, Motorola Edge 20 Pro will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, whereas, the Motorola Edge 20 will come with the Snapdragon 778G chipset and up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The most affordable smartphone in the lineup, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite, will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, claim leaks and rumours.

As for the displays, the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Pro are expected to feature a 6.7-inch screen with a full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Motorola Edge 20 Lite, on the other hand, is said to come equipped with a 6.7-inch screen featuring HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Hopefully, we will know more about these devices as their launch nears.
