DC’s My Adventures with Superman series has finally received its first trailer alongside a summer 2023 release window.
A 15 second trailer released on YouTube gives fans their first proper look at the coming of age Superman story coming to Adult Swim and HBO Max.
In it we see Superman save the day in the wake of a super villain threat, making the iconic change from mild-mannered journalist Clark Kent to the Man of Steel himself.
“My Adventures with Superman is a serialized coming-of-age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet,” reads the plot synopsis.
“The story follows Clark as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a star reporter, teams up with photographer Jimmy Olsen to break the stories that matter. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love…”
The Boys’ Jack Quaid stars as Superman, while Alice Lee portrays Lois Lane and Ishmael Sahid plays Jimmy.
The show was announced almost two years ago in May 2021 with a production team led by veterans from the likes of Teen Titans Go!, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and She-Ra and the Princess of Power.
