Naughty Dog Says It Will Keep Making More PC Games
Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part I was released on the PC on March 28. However, the highly anticipated game launch disappointed excited fans – as the PC port is marred by many issues – even though its release was delayed. While the reception towards Naughty Dog’s PC port is negative, it has announced that The Last of Us won’t be the last PC game from the studio.
In a blog post, Naughty Dog revealed that it put in a lot of effort to make sure the PC version of the game was as good as the PS5 version. The team also put its focus on creating a seamless experience for both keyboard-and-mouse players and those using the DualSense controller.
When it comes to PC performance, the studio said, “a large amount of tuning, tweaking, and even re-thinking” went into how the game would utilise GPUs.
At the end of the blog post, the studio announced that it would continue to make PC games alongside its PS5 titles. Although this is good news for fans who love Naughty Dog’s games, one can only be hopeful that future ports don’t meet the same fate as The Last of Us Part I. That being said, the title has been doing well on the PS5, with sales even rising last month. However, if you do want to see how the game performs on capable hardware (an Nvidia RTX 4090 in this case), then check out IGN’s 29 minutes of PC gameplay of The Last of Us Part 1 at max settings (4K 60FPS).
