The release date for Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Tiku Weds Sheru, a romantic drama, has been announced by the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. Tiku Weds Sheru will also mark the debut of Avneet Kaur who will be playing the lead role alongside Nawaz. The film’s first-look poster was released on Monday.

The Hindi language Tiku Weds Sheru is a romantic comedy-drama that revolves around an eccentric love story of Tiku and Sheru, two individuals with quirky and opposite personalities. Both of them aspire to make their names in Bollywood and the film showcases their journey along with the struggles and the chaos that they face.

The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Shiraz “Sheru” Khan Afghani and Avneet Kaur as Tasleem “Tiku” Khan in lead roles, along with Rahoul as “Binny” Arora, Zakir Hussain, Mukesh S Bhatt, Vipin Sharma, Suresh Vishwakarma, Ghanshyam Garg, and Khushi Bhardwaj. Tiku Weds Sheru is being produced under the banner of Manikarnika Films. The production house is owned by actor Kangana Ranaut. Reportedly, she earlier wanted to make this movie with late Indian actor Irrfan Khan.
Kangana, in a statement, mentioned that Tiku Weds Sheru was a very special film for her, as it’s the first title under her production house Manikarnika Films. “This is the first time I took charge as a producer and I absolutely enjoyed the process. It was a challenging-yet-enriching experience for me,” said Kangana.
