Spatial audio has started rolling out across the company’s catalogue. Netflix users can hear it for themselves by typing “Spatial audio” into the search bar and select a show or film that supports it in the search results.
How to watch Netflix with Spatial audio On
Netflix uses Sennheiser AMBEO technology to enhance stereo audio with an immersive surround sound experience. The Spatial audio technology is said to be compatible with all devices and streaming plans. This means that Netflix users do not require surround sound speakers or home theater equipment to experience Spatial audio. For Netflix users who do not have surround sound speakers, spatial audio qill be enabled automatically when watching a compatible TV show or movie using stereo audio.
However, some TVs/devices default setting is to 5.1 audio output which disables Spatial audio. These users are recommended to change their device’s settings to stereo audio.
To users who have surround sound speakers, Netflix recommends watching TV shows and movies in 5.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos.

No, not all titles or every season of TV shows are available with Spatial audio. Spatial is available only on compatible titles. Users will see ‘surround sound’ icons next to the title’s description.
