In a recent update, Instagram lead Adam Mosseri said that the feature is now available for the masses. In the video shared by Mosseri, he said that the Notes feature was not introduced in Japan and Europe as the company required a decent amount of time to comply with multiple local regulations. As of now, after following all the regulations, Instagram has finally released the feature on a worldwide basis.

Notes are short posts of around 60 characters that use text and emojis. They appear on the top of the inbox and stay for 24 hours. The replies to notes will be available in the DM of the uploader’s inbox.
