Nothing ear (1) price hiked in India, now costs up to Rs 1,400 more – Times of India

Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei has announced the price increase for its TWS earbuds — ear (1) — via a tweet. Pie has announced that the ear(1) will now cost $50 more than before starting October 26 due to an increase in costs.
The tweet reads, “On October 26, we’ll be raising the prices for Ear (1) to $149 due to an increase in costs.” Pei has only provided an “increase in costs” as the reason behind the price hike for ear (1). The exact details are still a mystery.
While it is still a couple of days to go before the official price hike, it is already selling at the increased price on Flipkart.
Nothing ear(1): New price and more
Nothing launched the ear (1) as its first product in July last year at a starting price of Rs 5,999 in India. Later the company launched the Black colour version of the earbuds at Rs 6,999. However, the earbuds are already selling at an increased price on Flipkart.
The White colour version of the ear (1) is available at Rs 7,199, while the Black colour version is selling at Rs 8,399. This is around Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,400 more than the launch price.
We also reached out to Nothing regarding more clarity over the increased price and whether this price hike is a part of the announcement made by Pei or it will increase more after October 26. However, we are still waiting for a response and we will update you once we hear something from them.
