Nothing Phone (1) confirmed to be manufactured in India, production begins in Tamil Nadu
Additionally, tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed that the production of the phone has reportedly already begun at a facility in Tamil Nadu, but the battery will be imported from China.

According to the details shared by Nothing VP and GM Manu Sharma with the Economic Times, the Nothing Phone (1) sold in India will be manufactured in Tamil Nadu. Manu states that the Nothing Phone (1) is the “real” start of the brand’s journey, and considering how important the Indian market is for the brand, it made sense for Nothing to manufacture the Nothing Phone (1) locally.
He further confirmed that Nothing had expanded its customer support in India to over 270 authorised service centres in more than 250 cities across the country, thereby trying to increase consumer trust.

The Nothing Phone (1) is said to come equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which will likely be paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The device is said to boot Android 12-based custom skin out of the box. In terms of cameras, the device could feature a 50MP main camera. Coming to the display of the device, the Nothing Phone (1) is tipped to feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Lastly, the Nothing Phone (1) is likely going to sport a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
The brand recently teased the first look of phone, which showed a glimpse of the metal chassis and camera module. Further, Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will exclusively be sold in India on Flipkart, pre-booking details of which have already leaked.
