Nothing raises $96mn in latest funding before Phone (2) launch, Swedish House Mafia among investors
Swedish DJ trio Swedish House Mafia recently collaborated with the brand, customising a Glyph composer that’ll allow users to make their own ringtones on Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2).
Nothing US expansion
With the latest funding, Nothing will use it to expand the brand’s presence in the US market. Its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1) did not launch in the US due to mobile network issues. But it has confirmed that it will be bringing the Nothing Phone (2) which will be a first for the company.
Nothing Phone (2) launch
Nothing Phone (2) is scheduled for a global released on July 11th. The smartphone will be available to pre-order today in India via Flipkart. There are pre-order offers such as a 50 percent discount on Nothing accessories, and cashbacks from select banks.
Earlier this week, Nothing announced it has partnered with Swedish House Mafia to create a customisable ringtone pack for the Phone (1) and Phone (2). It’s called the ‘Glyph Sound Pack’ and it will be available with this new ‘Glyph Composer’ through which you can customise the ringtones.
Nothing Phone (2) specifications
Nothing has been gradually revealing key details about the Phone (2). Based on what we know so far, here’s a look at the Nothing Phone (2)’s specifications.
- Display: Nothing Phone (2) will feature a 6.7-inch display according to information provided by the company.
- Processor: The smartphone is also confirmed to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset under its hood.
- Battery: Nothing Phone (2) will pack a 4,700mAh battery.
- Software: It will run Nothing OS 2.0, and the smartphone will also get three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
- Cameras: There’s no official confirmation yet but Nothing Phone (2) is expected to house a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor. The smartphone could also house a 16MP front camera for selfies.
