Nvidia: DLSS Comes to 7 Games Such as Atomic Heart and Returnal, Reflex Is Available for 6 Titles Including WoW, and Hi-Fi Rush

Nvidia has announced that its Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology is coming to seven new games. These include Atomic Heart, Returnal, Blood Bowl 3, Hello Neighbor 2, PlanetSide 2, Sons of the Forest, and Wanted: Dead.

The DLSS technology helps gamers get more frame rates with high quality images that are close to native resolution. DLSS renders the game at a lower resolution and then uses machine learning technology to upscale those images. These result in more frames at a higher image resolution. The latest version in DLSS 3 generates entirely new high-quality frames, rather than pixels. This allows developers to integrate the technology into their games for accelerated performance.

Nvidia revealed that developers have adopted DLSS in over 270 games and apps since its launch. The technology is also supported in GeForce Now, meaning that users without RTX hardware can also take advantage of DLSS by streaming games from the cloud.

According to the claims, DLSS 2 Super Resolution technology increases frame rates by up to 2x in GPU-limited games. DLSS 3 can multiply this performance while completely operating on the GPU. This means that CPU bottlenecks won’t affect DLSS 3 in giving gamers the additional boost in performance.

The company has also revealed that its Reflex technology is now available for use in six new titles, such as World of Warcraft, Deliver Us Mars, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Hi-Fi Rush, Hitman World of Assassination, and Perish. As per the announcement claims, World of Warcraft will see a reduction in system latency of up to 26% with its Reflex technology. This number goes up to 57% in Deliver Us Mars from the developer KeokeN Interactive.
