Okaya Electric Faast: Design, specifications 

The Okaya Electric Faast that demoed at the EV Expo 2021 in Greater Noida’s Expo Center serves up a well-packed spec-list that makes the e-scooter worthy of being checked out. The Okaya Electric Faast electric scooter gets up to a top speed of 60-70 km/h and yet delivers 150-200 km per charge. This easily makes the Okaya Electric Faast one of the longer-running scooters in this segment. The Okaya Electric Faast utilises a 4.4 kW lithium phosphate battery to deliver this performance. 

The electric scooter also gets all LED lights, a digital instrument cluster, DRLs, and a combined braking system. Design-wise the scooter adopts a rather aggressive maxi scooter inspired design.  

“Faast, with its performance specs and features, has managed to hit the sweetest spot in the market, directly challenging its petrol scooter counterparts,” said the company. “With the launch of our Okaya Faast, we have showcased our renewed commitment towards bringing innovative, low-cost but high-performance e-scooters to accelerate the adoption of EVs in the country,” said Anil Gupta – Managing Director, Okaya Power Group.

The company is dedicated to providing made-in-India products and supporting them via a strong infrastructure that includes public fast-charging solutions. The Okaya Electric Ferrato will be the company’s next offering and will boast of a 2kW motor and will be backed with a 3kWh battery pack. The mechanicals is sound enough to take the Ferrato to an 80-90 kmph top speed and last up to 100km on a single charge.
