Ola electric scooter to launch in 10 colors on August 15 – Smartprix

Ola is set to launch its first electric scooter in India and reservations have also been open for a few days. Upon crossing the 1 lakh reservation mark, the company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has revealed its launch date in India. Ola electric scooter will launch on August 15, ie on the day of India’s 75th Independence Day.

Besides the launch date, details surrounding the Ola e-scooters are scanty at the moment other than the 10 colors showcased in the teaser images. This includes red, pink, yellow, black, white, golden, etc.

Earlier this year, Ola announced that it would set up the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. And a few months after the announcement, in July, the company started the registration window for its new Ola electric scooter, which has received more than 1 lakh bookings so far. The reservations are still going on and you can book it for just Rs. 499 by visiting the company’s official website.

There are rumors that the company may launch three models of this e-scooter Ola S, Ola S1, and Ola S1 Pro, which can come with different horsepower too. You may get a 2KW motor in Ola S, a 4KW motor in Ola S1, and a 7KW motor in Ola S1 Pro.

Ola electric scooter is also trying to set up charging networks across the country so that customers do not face charging problems while walking on the road later. At the same time, the company is also saving the dealership commission in the middle and asking customers to place orders directly on the website.
