Olympic golf schedule 2021: How to watch 2021 men’s, women’s tournaments from Tokyo

Fore! (Or maybe five.)

That’s because it’s been five years waiting for golfers to return to Olympic competition after the delay from 2020, with the sport being played in the Olympics for the first time in 100 years during the Rio games in 2016.

The wait is over: The 2021 Olympic men’s golf tournament tees off Wednesday night from Kasumigaseki Country Club in Japan, with a field of 60 golfers from around the globe vying for Olympic gold in a 72-hole tournament over four days. The women’s tournament takes place the following week.

There are more than a few exciting trios on the course for the men’s side: Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Sungjae Im tee off later tonight, with Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry following them shortly afterwards. Medal favorites Jon Rahm (Spain) and Bryson DeChambeau (USA) were forced to pull out of the tournament after testing positive for COVID-19 in Tokyo.

On the women’s side, American Nelly Korda is the favorite to win gold followed by Jin Young Ko and Inbee Park from the Republic of Korea.

Here’s everything to know about the 2021 Olympic golf tournaments, including a full TV schedule and tee times for both the men and women.
