OMG 2 Release Date Revealed: Akshay Kumar Starrer Creates Buzz with First Poster – Smartprix Bytes
A week after visiting Badrinath, Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar announced the release date of his upcoming movie-OMG 2. OMG 2 will release in theatres during the Independence Day Weekend that is on the 11th of August 2023. The actor shared the poster of the movie via his Instagram handle confirming a theatre release for the sequel of OMG starring Paresh Rawal released in 2012.
OMG 2: Poster Revealed
Akshay Kumar shared a new poster for Oh My God 2 in which the actor can be seen in the getup of Lord Shiva, with ash smeared on his face. He can be seen in a dhoti, with a bead necklace around his neck and sports deadlocks reaching his knees.
The poster has confirmed that, unlike the last time wherein Akshay played Lord Krishna, this time he will be seen in Mahadeva Avatar.
Sharing the poster, the actor wrote, “Aa rahe hain hum, aaiyega aap bhi. 11th August in theatres. OMG 2.”
OMG 2: Reactions to Poster
The comments section of Akshay’s post mostly had positive feedback. It was greeted with “Har Har Mahadev” screams wherein one fan commented “ Aap aaye aur hum na aaye..” while another wrote, “Bhai log yeh pakka blockbuster hogi.” Even the critics hailed the first look to be impactful.

Some reports claim that Oh My God 2 will be based on the Indian education system and will explore topics such as exam pressures and college admissions.
The first chapter released in 2012 had the story of Kanji Lalji Mehta who sued God for the loss of his shop during an earthquake. It has Paresh Rawal in the lead role along with Akshay Kumar as Lord Krishna. The movie also had actors like Om Puri and Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal roles.
