ONE Fight Night 6 live results and highlights
ONE Championship Fight Night 6, the promotion’s first event of 2023, is set for Saturday morning in Bangkok, Thailand’s Impact Arena.
The card, which will get under way at 8:00am local time to accommodate viewers tuning in on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service in North America, will be topped by two kickboxing title fights.
In the main event, featherweight champion Superbon Singha Mawynn will defend his title against 2021 grand prix winner Chingiz Allazov. The Thai champion and his Belarusian challenger are considered two of the top pound-for-pound talents in the entire sport.
Before the featherweights get to work in the main event, Thailand’s Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Spain’s Daniel Puertas will meet with the vacant flyweight kickboxing belt on the line. The title was left unoccupied when former champion Elias Ennahachi, who had been set to defend his belt against Superlek, relinquished it due to weight management issues.
There will also be a submission grappling title on the line in Bangkok, as American BJJ black belt Mikey Musumeci looks to defend the flyweight belt against newcomer Gantumur Bayanduuren from Mongolia.
The final non-title bout on the card will see former two-division MMA champion Aung La N Sang, an American born in Myanmar, take on Brazil’s Gilberto Galvao in a 215-pound catchweight.
Flyweight Muay Thai champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, one of Thailand’s top fighters, will be in action too, taking on China’s Jiduo Yibu in a 130-pound catchweight. So too will his countrywoman Stamp Fairtex.
Stamp had been slated to meet Anissa Meksen in a special rules clash, but will instead collide with her fellow Thai, Supergirl Jaroonsak, in a strawweight kickboxing bout after Meksen failed to show up for the card’s pre-fight weight and hydration tests.
