ONE Championship on Prime Video 5 is slated for Saturday morning in the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, and on Thursday evening, the 16 fighters set to compete at the event will undergo their customary pre-fight weight and hydration tests.
Headlining honours for the card will go to a light heavyweight MMA title fight, as Dutch champion Reinier de Ridder defends his belt against Russia’s Anatoly Malykhin, who holds the interim title in the heavyweight division.
The co-headlining spot will be filled by a lightweight submission grappling title fight, with American champion Kade Ruotolo defending his belt against Matheus Gabriel from Brazil.
Former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic will also make his ONE debut on the card, taking on unbeaten Russian wrestler Murad Ramazanov in a welterweight MMA clash – with a crack at champion Christian Lee seemingly on the line.
The card was originally expected to feature a women’s atomweight Muay Thai title unification bout between undisputed champ Allycia Rodrigues and interim champion Janet Todd, but that fight fell through when the latter tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
