One-Punch Man Official Twitter Account Warns Against ‘Unofficial Information’ as Leaker’s Account Gets Suspended

Earlier this month, reputed leaker Shonenleaks posted on Twitter studio MAPPA will animate One-Punch Man Season 3.

This leak got a lot of traction online, with not only the tweet getting viral, but even many news outlets publishing the report as confirmed fact.

To address this, the official One-Punch Man Twitter account posted a statement entirely in English and quashed the rumours.

This is the only official Twitter account for the anime “One-Punch Man”.
Please don’t be misled by unofficial information from other accounts.
Accurate information will be announced from this account when it is time.#onepunchman

“This is the only official Twitter account for the anime ‘One-Punch Man,’” the message begins. “Please don’t be misled by unofficial information from other accounts. Accurate information will be announced from this account when it is time.”

This is something that doesn’t happen often in the anime fandom, especially with a big show like this. The fact that the One-Punch Man official account even acknowledged the rumour at all is kind of a big deal.

What’s more interesting is that Shonenleaks’ Twitter account got suspended (and still remains so, at the time of this publication) when the statement came out. This, of course, has led many fans to believe that this happened due to the account leaking major information about such a huge series.

One-Punch Man’s first season was produced by Madhouse and directed by Shingo Natsume, and it came out in 2015. The second season aired in 2019 and was produced by J.C. Staff. Though a third season has been announced, no further information about the anime’s continuation has been released. The series is known for parodying the superhero genre and its humour, as well as its great art and animation. Though the second season was lacking in the latter, fans are hopeful about a big name studio picking up the third season.
