OnePlus had earlier confirmed that its top-end smartphone, the OnePlus 11, will get four Android updates and five years of security updates. But no such announcement was made about the OnePlus 11R.
However, now OnePlus, through its official Twitter handle, has confirmed the software update policy for the OnePlus 11R. In reply to a user, the company said that the OnePlus 11R will receive 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates, similar to the OnePlus 11.
The OnePlus 11R comes with Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 out-of-the-box. So, OnePlus 11R will receive software updates until 2026, being updated to Android 17. Also, it will keep receiving software patches for one more year until 2027.

OnePlus 11R flaunt a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and 1450 nits of peak brightness. Further, the display covers 100 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and comes with Asahi Glass AGC protection.
Powering the 11R is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB/ 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/ 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone comes equipped with a 5177mm² eight-channel vapour chamber.
The smartphone runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13 out of the box.
OnePlus 11R boasts a 5,000mAH battery and comes with a 100W SuperVOOC charger. The 11R also has the SuperVOOC S power management chip.
The triple camera setup of 11R features the 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro unit. On the front, 11R has a 16MP camera.
OnePlus 11R starts at Rs 39,999 and comes in two colours Galactic Silver and Sonic Blue. The preorders for the OnePlus 11R start on February 21, and the smartphone goes on sale on February 28.
