OnePlus Nord 2 price in India, specifications and availability details have been revealed as the phone is finally launched in the country, as promised. It comes as a successor to the OnePlus Nord that launched last year and is also the first OnePlus phone to come with the MediaTek Dimensity chipset. The OnePlus Nord design looks almost identical to the OnePlus 9, with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a rectangular camera module on the back and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The OnePlus Nord 2 will also be available in a leather finish, which is a first for the Nord lineup. Key specifications include a 6.43-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Soc, 50MP primary camera and a 65W fast-charging support.

Surpassing expectations, OnePlus Nord 2 price in India starts at Rs 27,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This option will be available in only Blue Haze colour and will go on sale in August 2021, with the company adding that it will available in limited stocks only. Then there’s the 8GB + 128GB variant that comes in Blue Haze and Gray Sierra colours, with sales starting on July 28th. Another option that goes on sale on July 28th will be 12GB + 256GB in the same Blue Haze and Gray Sierra hues, priced at Rs 34,999. Lastly, there’s the India-exclusive Green Woods colour option that comes in 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with the price in India set at Rs 34,999 and sales beginning August 2021.

Amazon Prime and OnePlus Red Cable Club members will get to buy OnePlus Nord 2 8GB + 128GB variant on July 26th, two days before open sales begin.

While the OnePlus Nord 2 8GB + 128GB open sale starts on July 28th, Amazon Prime and OnePlus Red Cable Club members will get early access to the device. The smartphone will go on sale in the Amazon Prime Day sale, i.e. July 26th and 27th. Similarly, Red Cable First Sale will be held on the same dates. Apart from Amazon.in and OnePlus.in, the phone will be up for purchase via OnePlus Experience Stores and large-format retail outlets offline. and the sale will start from July 26th as a part of the Prime Day sale.

As for launch offers, OnePlus Nord 2 will be available with Rs 1,000 instant discount and up to 6-month no-cost EMIs using HDFC Bank credit cards as part of the Prime Day and Red Cable First Sale. Between July 26th and 31st, buyers will get Rs 1,000 off on exchange for their old smartphone. Users who sign up to the OnePlus Store app and OnePlus.in will get Rs 500 instant discount via the Welcome Gift voucher.

Red Cable Club members will get the option to buy the OnePlus Band at Rs 1,499 (i.e. a Rs 1,000 discount) on buying the Nord 2 between July 28th and 31st. If they sign up for the club using the new smartphone by August 31st will get 1TB cloud storage for free under the Red Cable Pro plan. They will also get free access to Spotify for 3 months (but the access will be provided after September 3rd).

OnePlus Nord 2 specifications

OnePlus Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 2400×1080 pixels resolution, sRGB, P3, and 410ppi pixel density. AI Color Boost and AI Resolution Boost on the display are said to enhance colours and upscale resolution to ensure “vivid and dynamic visual experiences.” It is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC coupled with ARM G77 MC9 GPU; the custom-designed chipset is claimed to deliver 65 percent faster performance and 125 percent graphics than the original Nord. It is backed by up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of (non-expandable) internal storage. The phone is equipped with X-axis linear motor, an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, screen flash, dual stereo speakers, and noise cancellation.
