oneplus: OnePlus 10 Pro may come with faster charging support, this is what it means for users – Times of India
OnePlus smartphones have been known for their charging speeds and it seems that the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro may be aiming to set a new record here.
The recently-launched smartphones from the company feature 65W Warp Charging which is fast and claims to charge the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 4500mAh battery in around 30 minutes. The OnePlus 10 Pro will reportedly be faster.
According to leakster Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus 10 Pro along with other upcoming flagship smartphones from BBK-owned brands will feature 125W charging speeds.
The smartphones in question here are OnePlus 10 Pro, Realme GT2 Pro, Oppo Find X4 series, Oppo N series and Reno 8 Pro.
Oppo unveiled its 125W Flash Charge technology ini July and it is speculated that other manufacturers including OnePlus might use the same technology or a slightly tweaked version of it. Just to add, Oppo claims to charge a 4000mAh battery capacity in under 20 minutes using the 125 W Flash Charge.
It is important to note that despite the charging time, faster charging speeds also affect the battery and reduce the capacity over time. Oppo recently reportedly told Android Authority that its 125W Flash Charge technology reduces battery capacity to 80% after 800 cycles.
Whether the 125W fast charging speed makes it cut to upcoming smartphones from Oppo, OnePlus and Realme or not, only time will tell. Right now, these are just claims and nothing solid is available regarding the same.
