oneplus: OnePlus Ace Racing Edition with Dimensity 1300-Max launched in China, may arrive in India soon – Times of India

After launching OnePlus Ace last month, the company has now launched the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition in China. The new smartphone joins the list of special edition devices launched by the company in the last few years. OnePlus already revealed a few details about the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition and the smartphone was available for pre-booking. Wonder what is new in the special edition smartphone, read more to know.
At first glance, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition looks similar to the company’s flagship OnePlus 10 Pro with a square camera module that hosts triple camera setup. The smartphone comes with curved edges and misses out on OnePlus’ signature Alert Slider.
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition: Price and availability
In China, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is offered in three RAM and storage configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB priced at 1,899 yuan, 1,999 yuan,and 2,399 yuan respectively. The smartphone comes in two colour options – Athletics Grey and Lightspeed Blue. The device will go on sale on May 31.
As the company has rebranded the OnePlus Ace as the OnePlus 10R in India, it is not yet known whether the special edition device will make it to the India streets. Keeping the previous launches in mind, it can be expected that the company may launch special edition OnePlus device in the country as well. Reports suggest that the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition has already been spotted on OnePlus India’s website.
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition specifications
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition features a 6.59-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 1080 x 2412 pixels resolution. The display comes with a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz. The screen also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. When it comes to camera, the smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. For video calls and selfies, the smartphone features a 16MP camera at the front.
The smartphone runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is backed by a 5,000mAh battery coupled with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
