oneplus: OnePlus Ace set to release in China on April 21, design revealed ahead of launch – Times of India

OnePlus is planning to launch a brand new series of smartphones, called the OnePlus Ace series. The name of the series was unveiled when a device under the lineup was found listed on the company’s official website. The upcoming handset is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. The Chinese smartphone maker has now confirmed that OnePlus Ace will be unveiled for its domestic market on April 21.
OnePlus Ace expected design and specifications
According to an XDA Developers report, the brand has also revealed the design of the upcoming phone. The company took to the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo to reveal both the launch date and the design of the OnePlus Ace smartphone.
The report suggests that the device will have a dual-tone texture at the back and will house a triple rear camera setup. The handset is likely to be available in two colour options –Silver and Black.
The report also mentions that the OnePlus Ace smartphone will sport a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout that will house the selfie shooter, However, the device might miss out on a 3.5mm audio jack and the alert slider.
The device was recently spotted on the Geekbench database website which suggests the upcoming phone to come powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset and it will be backed with up to 12GB RAM support. The handset is expected to pack a 4500mAh battery unit that may support a whopping 160W fast charging and the device is likely to run on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
