OnePlus phones launched since 2020 get 5G support from Airtel and Jio – Times of India

If you have a 5G-enabled smartphone from OnePlus, then here’s some good news for you. The Chinese smartphone maker has announced that the OnePlus 5G smartphone users can now enjoy 5G services in the country offered by leading telecom operators — Reliance Jio and Airtel.
OnePlus has announced that its 5G-ready flagship smartphones and Nord series smartphones launched in 2020 will now support 5G services from Reliance Jio and Airtel. The smartphone maker also added that it has tested these devices with the Vi network as well. So, Vi users will also be able to use 5G services on the handsets once rolled out by the telecom operator.
Speaking about this new update, Navnit Nakra, OnePlus India CEO and head of India region, OnePlus India, shared, “We are thrilled to join hands with the leading telecom players of India to bring the transformational 5G technology to our India community. We are positive that our future-ready smartphones combined with superior 5G network capabilities offered by our telecom partners, would empower our users with seamless technology. And it would help them achieve a lot more through their daily lives.”

OnePlus launched the first line-up of 5G smartphones in 2020 in India, with the launch of the OnePlus 8 series. Since then, all OnePlus smartphones have been 5G-ready, including the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, the brand’s most affordable device.
OnePlus to launch OnePlus 11 on February 7
OnePlus is all set to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone — OnePlus 11. The Chinese smartphone maker has already confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 11 5G at the company’s Cloud 11 event scheduled to take place on February 7, 2023, in India.
OnePlus has also confirmed that it will also launch its OnePlus Buds Pro 2 at the same event. The company further added that the launch of the OnePlus 11 it will bring back its much-loved alert slider button.
