Oppenheimer Director Christopher Nolan Does Not Turn Down the Idea of Him Making a Star Wars Movie
Christopher Nolan might be open to the idea of him making a Star Wars movie. The actor was recently asked a series of questions on rapid fire in an interview, which included “Would you like to make a Star Wars movie?”. But Nolan did not say no. Here are the details.
Nolan on making a Star Wars movie and more
Christopher Nolan was recently spotted at an interview with YouTuber Hugo Travers for his channel HugoDecrypte. While the interview was on the occasion of the release of his film Oppenheimer, Nolan was asked multiple questions that revealed some of his very interesting takes on different topics. For example, how Nolan continues to stick to his no smartphones policy.
Nolan was given three choices of answers for each of these questions, ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘pass’. He certainly had decisive answers for some questions, like if he would like to direct another superhero movie after Batman (he will not). However, Nolan was confused or maybe he simply refused to answer some other questions, which leads us to ask if there’s a chance after all. On that note, Nolan passed on the question “Would you like to make a Star Wars movie?”.
The pause he takes to give the question a thought is hard to go unnoticed and shows that he is considering the possibility. Clearly the answer is too complicated than a simple yes or no for Nolan to pass on the question, as it is to name his favorite movie, or just confer Interstellar the title.
As for the matter of Nolan making a Star Wars movie, it is interesting to even imagine one given Nolan’s conscious reluctance from using CGI and special effects.
