Oppenheimer: Robert Pattinson Gifted Nolan a Book of Oppenheimer Speeches While Wrapping up Tenet
Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Oppenheimer was inspired by a gift from Robert Pattinson. Pattinson gifted Nolan a book of speeches that J. Robert Oppenheimer gave after the war. Nolan said he was hooked after reading the speeches, which dealt with the “massive consequences” of the atomic bomb.
In an interview with Tara Hitchcock, Nolan said that he was able to read “how these great intellects” were dealing with “massive consequences that have completely changed life forever for all of us.” Nolan stated that he was hooked while reading these speeches.
Furthermore, Nolan was also asked why Robert Pattinson is not in the film if he is one of the fire starters for the project, to which Nolan replied stating, “he was busy, he is very much in demand these days.”
Oppenheimer certified ‘A’ in India
Oppenheimer has been certified ‘A’ for adults in India by the Central Board of Film Certification, according to a report by BoxOfficeWorldWide. However, the team behind the film are pushing for a U/A (under adult) certification so that it could have a better reach in the country. As a result, the advance bookings of the film were temporarily stopped.
Furthermore, journalist Aroon Deep pointed out that BookMyShow has the film with an ‘A’ rating on the platform at the moment. However, one user stated that they booked tickets for their children to go with them to the film while the ticket booking service was still displaying Oppenheimer under the U/A rating. But since then, the rating has changed to ‘A’ and the user has not been able to receive their refund even after bringing the issue to BookMyShow customer support.
