Oppo introduces Android 13-based ColorOS 13: Here are the new features, eligible devices and rollout schedule – Times of India

Oppo has introduced the next big update to ColorOS – the ColorOS 13 – based on Android 13. Oppo’s ColorOS 13 brings some new design elements, Aquamorphic design and refinements across the interface while also adding some of the Android 13 features.
ColorOS 13: Here’s what’s new
The one major change in the ColorOS 13 is the new Aquamorphic design, which according to the company is “inspired by the changing colour of light between sunrise and sunset at sea level.” There are new icons, font and system animations, aiming to improve the overall user experience.
The Control Centre has received a major overhaul, with an uncanny resemblance to Android 13. There are two tiles on the top, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by default, with a media player on the right.
There are new contextual info and Bitmoji AoDs. However the contextual infor AoD works only with Spotify, Swiggy and Zomato.
ColorOS 13 improves on the Multi-Screen Connect, which works with Oppo’s Pad Air tablet and Windows PCs, allowing users to transfer files, sync clipboard data, and more. A new Meeting Assistant feature has also been introduced in the latest iteration of ColorOS.
The security and privacy features from Android 13 have been integrated to ColorOS 13. Furthermore, ColorOS 13 introduces Auto Pixelate feature which will suggest users to blur sensitive information in a screenshot but it is only compatible with Instagram and WhatsApp for now. There is also a new Privacy Safe, an AES encrypted folder.
ColorOS 13 brings a new “Dynamic Computing Engine,” which promises to increase battery life while allowing more apps to be kept running in the background.
ColorOS 13: Eligible devices and rollout schedule
Oppo will be releasing the Android 13 based ColorOS 13 beta for Find N and Find X5 in August. The Reno 8 Pro is slated to receive the beta update in September.
The Oppo Reno 8, Reno 7 Pro, Reno 7, Reno 6, F21 Pro, K10 5G and A76 should receive the ColorOS 13 beta in the month of October. In November, the company will be releasing the ColorOS 13 beta build for the Reno 6 Pro, Reno 6 Pro Diwali Edition, Reno 5 Pro, F21 Pro 5G, F19 Pro 5G, K10 and A96.
Meanwhile, the company will begin rolling out the update for the Oppo Pad Air, F19 Pro, F19, F19s, A77, A55 A53s 5G in the first half of 2023.
