Oppo Pad 2 key specs leaked ahead of launch: What to expect – Times of India

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo unveiled its first-ever tablet — the Oppo Pad — along with the Find X5 series of smartphones in China in February 2022. Rumours claim that the company is now developing the successor to last year’s tablet. According to a report by GizmoChina, the upcoming Oppo Pad is expected to look similar to the OnePlus Pad which will be launched in India on February 7. The report doesn’t reveal whether the upcoming OnePlus Pad will be a rebranded version of the Oppo Pad 2. However, it has tipped key details about the tablet’s display, battery and charging capabilities. More details about the device are expected to surface and the company is yet to confirm the official specs of Oppo’s next flagship tablet.
Oppo Pad 2: Expected launch date and availability
Oppo is expected to announce the company’s next flagship tablet — the Oppo Pad 2 — along with the Oppo Find X6 series which may launch in February in China. The Oppo Find X6 series will include the — Oppo Find X6, X6 Pro, and X6 Pro Dimensity Edition. Last year’s original Oppo Pad was priced at 2,299 Yuan (nearly Rs 28,000). The Oppo Pad 2 is also expected to carry a similar price tag.

According to the tipster Digital Chat Station (as revealed on Weibo), the Oppo Pad 2 is expected to sport a display that will be bigger than 11 inches. To compare, the original Oppo Pad features an 11-inch display that offers 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

As per the leak, the tablet’s successor is likely to ship with an LCD panel that will offer a higher resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels and a higher 144Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Pad 2 is also expected to support Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
The upcoming tablet is expected to feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset and is likely to pack a 9,500 mAh battery unit that may support 67W fast charging. Oppo Pad 2 is rumoured to boot ColorOS for tablets which will be based on the Android 13 OS.
