Oppo Pad Air receives BIS certification, may launch in India soon – Times of India
Oppo is expected to launch its Android tablet — Oppo Pad Air in India soon. Launched in China in May this year, the Android tablet has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The Android tablet from Oppo is powered by a Qualcomm processor and it comes with a 10.36-inch display.
As spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, Oppo Pad Air has received BIS certification and is expected to launch in India soon. The tablet has been listed online with model number OPD2102A. The tipster also claims that the Chinese smartphone may launch the Oppo Pad Air and the Oppo Reno 8 series smartphone in India at the same time. The company is also expected to launch the same China variant of Oppo Pad Air in India.
Oppo Pad Air specifications
Oppo Pad Air features a 10.36-inch 2k display with 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
Oppo Pad Air comes in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card support. The Android tablet runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of ColorOS 12.
On the camera front, the Oppo Pad Air sports an 8MP single-lens rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Front is home to a 5MP selfie camera. Oppo Pad Air features Quad speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos.
The Android tablet is backed by a 7100mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The Android tablet also supports a smart stylus and magnetic keyboard. During the China launch, Oppo also launched a smart stylus and magnetic keyboard. The company is also expected to launch the same in India. Designed for Oppo Pad Air, the Smart Stylus weighs 18 grams and is backed by a 650mAh battery and it supports 4096-level pressure sensitivity. On the other hand, the smart magnetic keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0 and it has 1.4mm of key travel.
