Oppo Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro specifications surface ahead of official announcement – Times of India

Oppo seems to be readying the next smartphones in the Reno lineup – the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro – succeeding the Reno 8 series launched earlier this year. Though there is no word from Oppo regarding the launch of the new Reno series, a notable tipster has spilled some beans revealing key specifications of the upcoming Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro.
In a recent post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station divulged the specifications of the two upcoming Oppo smartphones – the Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro.
As per the tipster, Qualcomm’s SM7325, known as Snapdragon 778G chipset, would power the vanilla Reno 9. The smartphone would come with a 64MP primary camera. Meanwhile, the Reno 9 Pro would come with MediaTek’s MT6895 chipset, which you know as Dimensity 8000. Further, the ‘Pro’ model of the Reno 9 would feature a 50MP IMX766 primary camera.
The Reno 8 comes with the Dimensity 1300 chipset. Meanwhile, the Reno 8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. There is also a Reno 8 Pro+ which launched in India as the Reno 8 Pro, comes with the Dimensity 8100-Max chipset.
It is not known if the Reno 9 series would include a third model, the Pro+, like the one in the Reno 8 series.
The tipster also shared a picture of the retail box for the Oppo Reno 9. Rumours are rife that the Oppo Reno 9 series would launch in China next month, i.e., November. There is no word on the launch of the Reno 9 series in India.
