Oppo Reno8 series render surfaces online with specs

Oppo Reno8 series

Two months ago, Oppo released the Oppo Reno7 series comprising several models. Cut to now, we have renders for the Oppo Reno8 series that will be released soon. And yes, the phone shares a resemblance to its sister company’s smartphone this time around as well.

Thanks to the courtesy of Digital Chat Station, we now have our eyes on renders for the upcoming Oppo Reno8 series smartphone. The phone has an uncanny resemblance to the OnePlus 10 Pro which goes in line with what both Oppo and OnePlus have been doing for ages now. Also because both of these brands are sister companies.

Circling back to the render, the device is expected to arrive with a 6.55-inch flat display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution. There’s a 120Hz refresh rate on board after a major upgrade from 90Hz. Note that the display could be OLED although we will have to wait for Oppo to confirm the same.

The camera rig onboard the upcoming Oppo Reno8 series looks like the OnePlus 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22. It is likely to house a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor though the information related to other sensors remains elusive. Oppo went as far as keeping the appearance of the camera rig the same as that of the OnePlus 10 Pro although the glossy camera bump appears to be way larger. Again, this can change once the device arrives officially.

The device is likely to draw power from its Dimensity 900 or 1200 Max chipset while the Pro model is likely to get Dimensity 9000 or a top-notch Snapdragon processor.

Oppo Reno series sees a bi-yearly release with Oppo Reno6 series releasing in July followed by Reno7 series back in February 2022. We could be seeing the Oppo Reno8 series in the coming weeks.
