Oppo to unveil ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 soon – Smartprix
After Google announced the Android 12 operating system, smartphone manufacturers are now launching their custom mobile OS based on the latest Android 12 version. Following the same trend, Oppo is going to unveil its ColorOS 12 version very soon.
ColorOS 12 Features
The new Oppo software is said to come with a new feature called ‘Cross-Screen-Interconnector’, which is similar to Huawei’s Multi-Screen Collaboration. Several new features are also expected to be adopted by Oppo from Chinese Android skins, including the likes of MIUI from Xiaomi.
From the poster of the ColorOS 12, we can also notice some design changes. According to a statement by Oppo, ColorOS 12 will support the close and immediate connection, cross-device file transfer, and other functions. The promo image for ColorOS 12 confirms that OPPO will be releasing a tablet whose UI is heavily inspired by iPadOS.

Which smartphones will feature ColorOS 12?
Since Realme and OnePlus are sub-brands of Oppo, the ColorOS 12 is sure to make its way to their smartphones as well. For now, the OnePlus phones in China will run ColorOS while the global models will continue on Oxygen OS will ColorOS 12 is not implemented globally. Before Oppo announces ColorOS 12, a stable version of the latest Android mobile OS, Android 12 will be rolled out by Google.

ColorOS 12 Launch Date
Although OPPO is yet to reveal the exact launch date for ColorOS 12. But since it’s already the second week of September and there are several major launches lined up for the middle of the month, the company has said that the latest version of their OS will be launched towards the end of the month for its China market.
