Oscars 2023 Nominations Include RRR, Avatar 2, Batman, Top Gun 2, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Black Panther 2, and More

After much waiting, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science has finally unveiled the nominations for various categories for the 95th edition of the Oscars.

The prestigious awards show features some of the finest films, which have excelled by taking the medium of filmmaking further. While the event is all set to take place on March 13 2023, we already have the complete list of nominations. Actors Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams announced all the nominees on January 24 that will compete for the Oscar.

After striking gold at the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Award, the RRR hype train continues at the upcoming Oscars. The film’s hit song Naatu Naatu has just been nominated for Best Original Song Oscar.

On the other hand, documentary filmmaking will also have major Indian representation as well. Here, Shaunak Sen-directed All the Breathe is nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film and Kartiki Gonsalves-directed The Elephant Whisperers made it to the Best Documentary Short Film category.

Everything Everywhere All at Once receives most Oscar nominations with 11

The Daniels-directed Everything Everywhere All at Once lead the pack at the 95th Academy Awards with 11 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Furthermore, actors Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis were also nominated for Best Actress, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, and Best Actress in a Supporting Role, respectively.

The Banshees of Inisherin and All Quiet on the Western Front came tied second with nine each. Both films have been nominated for Best Picture along with Everything Everywhere All at Once, Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness and Women Talking.
