Packers’ Aaron Rodgers changes Twitter profile picture to bare foot after ‘COVID toe’ speculation

On Wednesday afternoon, Aaron Rodgers changed his Twitter profile picture. Now his 4.5 million followers can stare at his bare foot. (Yes, he really did that.)

Rodgers’ foot was all over social media on Wednesday, and the Packers star decided to make the new meme part of his Twitter profile. But why are there images of Rodgers’ foot circulating the internet, you ask?

On Tuesday, Rodgers joined “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss his COVID-19 symptoms after he contracted the virus on Nov. 3. It was discovered after he tested positive for COVID-19 that he wasn’t vaccinated, and the nine-time Pro Bowler has found his name in the headlines ever since.

While talking on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers said the only side effect he still had was “COVID toe.” It is a real thing that can cause a person’s toes to become discolored or swollen.

However, it appears that Rodgers may have just been joking about having COVID toe. During a Wednesday press conference, Rodgers put his foot in front of the camera and said it was just a fractured toe. From there, the profile picture was born.

Rodgers’ Twitter profile page now shows two memes of himself. His cover photo is a photoshopped image of his previous meme from the Packers vs. Cardinals game, which features him on the ground with his helmet coming off his head.
