Pakistan announce squads for England and West Indies series
Pakistan have revealed their squads for their upcoming assignments against England and West Indies. The team will play three ODIs and three T20Is in a tour of England, before travelling to the Caribbean for five T20Is and two Tests against the West Indies.
The Pakistan selectors have recalled a few experienced heads for the upcoming clashes, with several uncapped players part of the squad as well.
Middle-order batsman Haris Sohail returns to the ODI side, while Imad Wasim is part of the T20 setup. Uncapped youngster Saud Shakeel, who agonisingly missed out on the South Africa ODIs due to injury, has been called up for the ODI series. The same goes for Salman Ali Agha, who makes the ODI squad but misses out on the Test team.
There are debut opportunities for 22-year-old hard-hitting batsman Azam Khan, with the young gun being a new entry in Pakistan’s T20I squad. Veteran spinner Yasir Shah’s inclusion is subject to fitness clearance, since he is yet to fully recover from the knee injury that sidelined him during the Zimbabwe Tests.
