PayRetailers Lands in Bulgaria, Expanding Operations and Establishing Development Hub in Sofia

Betsson, a leading online gaming operator, is pleased to announce its successful acquisition of a license for the locally regulated market in Serbia, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth initiative. This license enables the Group to officially launch its renowned online casino offering under the esteemed Rizk brand in the Serbian market. Rizk, part of Zecure Gaming, was acquired by Betsson in 2020.

As part of Betsson’s commitment to geographic expansion and market diversification, the launch in Serbia serves to further strengthen the Group’s presence in the Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA) region. The CEECA region accounted for 43% of the Group’s revenue in the second quarter of 2023.

Andrew Valenzia, Commercial Director for Betsson’s subsidiary Zecure Gaming, expressed his enthusiasm for the brand’s expansion into Serbia, stating, “Serbia is an exciting new market for our brand, Rizk.
