PC Game Pass’ Entire Catalog Will Be Playable on GeForce Now

Nvidia GeForce Now players will soon have access to the entire PC Game Pass catalog.

During a “What’s Next for Gaming?” panel held today, Head of Xbox Creator Experience, Sarah Bond, confirmed that “in the coming months,” GeForce Now subscribers will have access to PC Game Pass’ entire catalog. “You’re going to be able to play your PC Game Pass catalog, leveraging GeForce Now,” Bond said. “And you’re going to be able to do that on all the devices where GeForce Now is.”

The news is big for Nvidia’s cloud gaming service. Earlier this year, Nvidia and Microsoft struck a deal to bring all Xbox Games to GeForce Now. A few weeks ago, Nvidia shared the first batch of games coming to the service, including The Coalition’s Gears 5 and Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop.

In addition to Nvidia, Microsoft also struck partnerships with Ubitus and Boosteroid to bring its games to other cloud gaming services in addition to its own service, Xbox Cloud Gaming.

“In many ways, cloud is still super nascent. It’s a wonderful compliment to what we get to do with native gameplay with our consoles and what people do with PCs,” Bond said. “And that’s one of the reasons why we actually rolled out six partnerships this year with players who are working in that space and are incubating in that area.

The move comes as Microsoft tries to close its deal to acquire Activision Blizzard. The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority blocked the deal last month, though Microsoft and Activision-Blizzard have appealed the decision. Additionally, the US Additionally, the Federal Trade Commission is suing Microsoft over the acquisition; a hearing is currently scheduled for August 2.
