Pics of Lautaro Martinez mocked up in Tottenham shirt as Daniel Levy hunts transfer
Lautaro Martinez could be on his way to Tottenham this summer after Inter Milan reportedly accepted a bid for the striker, believed to be in the region of £60million. So, with that being the case, Express Sport has decided to have some fun by mocking up the Argentina international in the club’s colours.
Tottenham want to sign Martinez and deploy him alongside Harry Kane next season, despite the England international being eyed by Manchester City.
On Sunday, it emerged Spurs had seen a bid for the Argentine accepted by Inter – who could be forced to cash in on another big name having lost Achraf Hakimi so far, with Romelu Lukaku poised to follow by joining Chelsea.
So we’ve got to work.
The first image shows Martinez in Tottenham’s home shirt for the upcoming campaign, with a pen in hand and signing a contract.
A sight Daniel Levy and anybody associated with the club are hoping will play out in real life if they get a deal over the line.

“Lautaro is happy at Inter and in Italy. His decision is to stay,” he said.
In a further interview with FC Inter 1908, he was also asked about Spurs’ bid, adding: “He is never going to have a fight with Inter to leave the club. Never.
“Lautaro is an Inter player and he’s happy in Italy.”
Then there’s the fact that Arsenal are also interested in signing Martinez.
Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the 23-year-old, believing he’d be a good upgrade on veterans Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

And, speaking recently on the Football Terrace podcast, Eurosport’s Dean Jones said that Martinez was actually tempted to join Arsenal.
“Now Lautaro,” Jones said on The Football Terrace podcast. “Now I had reservations about this from the start because I thought, like most people, why would Lautaro Martinez having just won Serie A and being one of the best young strikers in the world go and join Arsenal?
“So I’ve asked that question. And basically he wants to come to the Premier League, first of all, and he sees Arsenal – if that’s the club – to be a place where he can grow.
“And if he can do well for Arsenal, who knows where that’ll lead to him next?
“At the moment, the reason Arsenal are in pole position for him is because they basically have a free run at him.
“There hasn’t been any contact from other clubs for Lautaro Martinez.
“Personally I think Lautaro Martinez should be playing at Man City or somewhere, he’s so good. But those clubs aren’t in for him at the moment.”
Martinez himself said in June that he wanted to win ‘everything’ this upcoming season.
“Now a new season begins and then there will be the World Cup. I don’t want to limit myself, I want to win everything,” he said.
“I want to finish my career at Liniers – I will try to convince my wife.
“The alternative is to return to Racing, but in football it is difficult to make promises.”
