PlayStation Celebrates Resident Evil With Cat-stle Dimitrescu
PlayStation Japan released a short video featuring two cats storming a real-life replica of Castle Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, in celebration of the Resident Evil 4 remake’s launch.
In the video, two very fluffy cats, possibly owned by an unknown member of PlayStation Japan’s social team, climb all over a replica of Castle Dimitrescu. Looking at the relative castle-to-cat scale, the castle model is unexpectedly big. An average sized cat–with a look eerily similar to Lady Dimitrescu–can sit comfortably in a small balcony area.
The castle in the video is not for sale, sadly, though you can probably DIY it if you’re very passionate about reenacting RE Village with your cats. What is for sale is the Resident Evil 4 remake, now available on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S.
In GameSpot’s Resident Evil 4 remake review, critic Kurt Indovina scored the game 10/10 and praised it for both improving on the original game while also staying faithful to what makes RE4 so great. “Resident Evil 4 remake is the re-envisioning I wanted, but also not the one I expected to get,” Indovina said. “As a Resident Evil 4 purist, I feared that messing with the magic of an all-time classic would spell disaster. Instead, the Resident Evil 4 remake deviates from the original in many significant ways, but never compromises anything that made it revolutionary.”

In related news, a Resident Evil 4 remake DLC–The Mercenaries–is coming for free on April 7. The trailer didn’t show many details about the DLC’s contents, but in the original game, the Mercenaries mode tasked players with killing as many enemies as possible in a limited timeframe.
