Sony has revealed the lineup of games joining the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog in July 2023, including It Takes Two, Sniper Elite 5, World War Z, and more.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, a grand total of 15 games are set to join the Games Catalogue available to Extra and Premium tier PlayStation Plus subscribers, while a further three titles will join the Classic Games Catalogue, which is available exclusively for Premium members.
All of the new additions will be available to download from July 18 onwards. Among the new offerings coming to the Games Catalogue is the co-op extravaganza It Takes Two, which, following its March 2021 release has sold over 10 million copies worldwide while also nabbing a number of prestigious prizes, including the game of the year accolade at The Game Awards 2021.
In IGN’s 9/10 review we described It Takes Two as “an innovative split-screen co-op adventure where uniquely varied gameplay and emotional storytelling intertwine in a fantastical journey”.

The Games Catalogue will also get a grittier offering in the form of Sniper Elite 5. In this latest entry to the series sees protagonist Karl Fairburne battle the failing Nazi army through the war torn landscape of France circa 1944. This time around developer Rebellion brought a slew of incremental tweaks to the franchise, including enhanced co-op, and improved character manoeuvrability, while also keeping the series’ iconic X-ray kill cam reassuringly gory.
In our 7/10 review we described Sniper Elite 5 as a “satisfying and spectacularly gross way to shoot Nazis in the nether regions,” but noted that the series “needs to start aiming its sights a little higher”, particularly when it comes to its fairly forgettable story and repetitious objectives.
The Classics catalogue meanwhile also see the addition of 2012’s vehicular combat game Twisted Metal, and its 2014 sequel Twisted Metal 2, ahead of the release of the live-action streaming adaptation of the franchise, which is set to premiere on July 27 later this month.
