Poco C50 likely to launch in India soon: Expected features, specs – Times of India

Chinese smartphone maker Poco is reportedly working to launch its new smartphone in India. Ahead of the launch, the company released the first teaser of the smartphone. As per the company, the smartphone is expected to come under the entry-level segment. Poco C50 is expected to succeed the Poco C40 launched in Vietnam earlier this year. The Poco C40 is priced at VND 3,490,000 (approximately Rs 11,687) in Vietnam for the lone 4GB+64GB storage variant.

According to previous reports, the upcoming Poco C50 smartphone is likely to launch in India on January 3, 2023. However, the company is yet to announce the launch timeline and other details about the phone.

Poco C50: Expected specifications
As per the teaser, the Poco C50 is likely to arrive with a dual-rear camera setup. The company hasn’t shared any specifications or details of the smartphone. The smartphone maker claims that the smartphone will offer ‘stellar camera performance, immersive multimedia experience, long battery life with a sleek design and much more’. Some online leaks suggest that the Poco C50 will be a rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi A1 smartphone.

Poco C50 is said to sport a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek chipset.
The budget smartphone will likely pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also said to come with microSD card support.

Poco C50 is tipped to run Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of UI. The smartphone is expected to sport an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.
The upcoming Poco smartphone is said to be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
