Poco X2 camera issue fixed, complains of customers trying to get free replacement – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Poco recently started receiving complaints about its Poco X2 smartphones. The Poco X2 users reported issues with the rear camera of the smartphone.
The company acknowledged the issues and has now started fixing it manually. Poco India recently took to Twitter and tweeted about the camera issue which has been reported by less than 0.2% of Poco X2 users. Poco India also mentioned that the users can simply clear cache and data to resolve the issue.

Poco India mentioned that users can clean the camera app data to prevent the device from bricking. Users can go to Settings and search Manage apps. After this, they can search Camera> Clear Data> Clear all Data> Ok. Once the data is cleared users are required to restart their smartphone and check whether the issue is resolved or not.
The company also adds that if the issue is not resolved after this, then Poco X2 users can report it using the Service and Feedback app along with their device logs. The app will then generate a feedback ID which users can take to the Poco service center.
The letter also states that some of the users are using this as an opportunity and are deliberately bricking their device to get a free replacement. “We’ve come across stray instances of a small set of consumers trying to intentionally brick the camera and are pressuring our
service center employees into giving them a free replacement phone. Acts like this impact our ability to provide support to genuine consumers and could be liable to action.”
Recently, Poco launched its M3 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipset and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. Poco M3 Pro 5G runs Android 11 operating system and it sports a triple rear camera setup.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G comes in two variants — 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The company has priced the 4GB variant at Rs 13,999, while the 6GB RAM variant cost Rs 15,999.
