Poco X4 GT starts receiving Android 13-based MIUI 14 update – Times of India

Poco, a sub-brand of Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 14 based on Android 13 update to its X4 GT model. The update has a 709 MB download size and Poco X4 GT users can download it via the MIUI Downloader to avail of the latest upgrade. It comes with January 2023 security patches, and a new firmware version and adds new features to the device. Initially, users who have enrolled in the Poco Pilot program will be able to practice the new update added to the X4 GT phone. The update is scheduled to be rolled out soon in a phased manner.
According to a report by Xiaomiui, the MIUI 14 update which is based on Android 13 operating system for the Poco X4 GT is rolling out globally bearing the firmware version MIUI 14.0.1.0.TLOMIXM. As mentioned above, it also brings along the January 2023 security patches. Additionally, the update also comes with new features and improvements that include “super” icons and widgets, adding a revamped visual design and improvements to searches in the Settings menu. The update also claims to add improved performance and battery life to the smartphone.

Poco X4 GT: Specifications
Poco’s X4 GT features a 6.6-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 270Hz. The LCD panel on the X4 GT offers a peak brightness of 650 nits and comes with support for Dolby Vision. The display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it.
The Poco X4 GT is powered by Mediatek’s 4nm Dimensity 8100 chipset. Under the hood, the chipset is paired with 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Further, the smartphone comes with LiquidCool 2 technology. It boasts a 5,080mAh battery with 67W charging support.
At the back, the phone houses a triple camera module consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree FoV and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 20MP camera on the front to capture selfies.
The smartphone offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. And it has an X-linear vibration motor. Lastly, it also has an IR blaster.
